Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers review
Computer and Video Games (1994): "Gabriel Knight is the most enjoyable adventure I've played since Monkey Island, and it's certainly the best thing that Sierra has done. The graphics are good and the music is brilliant, but what makes the game is the plot. It's like reading a thriller; you're never sure what's going to happen next, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat right up until the end. It's also pretty tough, and should keep you entertained for a good bit longer than most adventures. If you want a really intriguing, exciting game, look no further."Collector's corner:
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers was first released in North America by Sierra On-Line cross-format as both a single CD-ROM disc and as a set of eleven 3.5" floppy disks on December 17, 1993. The comic book prequel included with the physical copy of the game, was later posted in Sierra Studios's page.
In 1997, Sins of the Fathers was adapted into a novel by Jane Jensen. As part of her 2012 Kickstarter campaign to fund a new adventure game, Jensen offered both Gabriel Knight novels as ebooks to backers who pledge $50 or more.
Series creator Jane Jensen created a 3-part comic based on the 20th Anniversary Edition video game, which took place six months after his last quest, "The Temptation".
