Might and Magic 4: Clouds of Xeen review

Computer Gaming World (1993): "Overall, Clouds of Xeen has many improvements over the previous game, in particular the addition of the auto-notes, reducing the number of “super items”, the separate inventory fur quest items, and the choice of two modes of play, as well as others mentioned above. Game play moves along more smoothly, and with less frustration (and fewer lost notes) than in prior entries in the series. What still needs work, however, is integrating more quests into the plot and having an actual story that develops as the game progresses. (...) The world is rather empty of everyday people, and this in turn makes it hard to have anything beyond a barebones story. A more populated world, with a more solid foundation, would go a long way to beefing up the enjoyment of the game."

Collector's corner:

The game was available initially on floppy disc but was also released on CD. Might and Magic IV and V were some of the very first Western games to come out on CD.
