Dungeon Hack

Dungeon Hack is a dungeon-crawling role-playing game (RPG) developed by DreamForge Intertainment and published by Strategic Simulations, Inc. (SSI). It was released in 1993 for MS-DOS and is known for its randomly generated levels, making each playthrough a unique experience. The game is set in a first-person perspective, and players explore dungeons filled with monsters, traps, and treasures.
Depending on the choices made during the game, players can experience different endings. The game features permadeath, meaning that if a character dies, the player has to start a new game with a new character.

Dungeon Hack review

PC Format (1995): "An SSI role-player that's actually not littered with statistics - now that’s got to be a good thing. And indeed Dungeon Hack is, for a couple of hours at least. At about the two-hour mark, the Eye of the Beholder graphics system becomes a real pain in the arse, and the lack of any decent, compelling strategy element removes your urge to progress. A nice try, but SSI can - and has done - better."
