Champions of Krynn is a RPG released in 1990 by Strategic Simulations, Inc. (SSI) and is the first game in the Dragonlance Gold Box series. It is based on the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons ruleset and set in the world of Krynn, known from the Dragonlance novels. Players create a party of up to six characters, choosing from the standard AD&D races (humans, elves, dwarves, etc.) and classes. Set after the War of the Lance, the game follows a group of adventurers aiding the Solamnic Knights against the remnants of the Dragonarmies.
Dragon (1990): "Remember that your adventuring party is basically good. Do not succumb to temptation, and do not kill without need. Remember the knight's oath: "My honor is my life." And do buy this AD&D computer game, which is SSI's best yet!"
