Holiday Island is essentially a theme park management game that invites you to unleash your inner entrepreneur—or your inner chaos agent. Released in 1996, it lets you build, manage, and occasionally sabotage your own vacation paradise. You can carefully craft the perfect resort or create a logistical nightmare that would make any guest reconsider their life choices. The charm lies in its freedom: there is no single correct way to play, only consequences. It is relaxing when things go well, hilarious when they do not, and always engaging enough to make you forget you were supposed to stop playing an hour ago.
There is a way to work in Windows 8. Download XP mode from Microsoft's website. It is a free software for developers to test programs on XP. Then put this game in there then everything's good.

Maju, I honestly don't know how to run Holiday Islands on Windows 8. I tried running in compatibility mode with no success. As far as I know, the only way is to run it in Windows XP using a Virtual Machine.
