Cossacks: Back to War

Cossacks: Back to War expands the large-scale real-time strategy formula of the Cossacks series with additional factions, campaigns, and battles inspired by European warfare. Huge armies can clash across open terrain, while resources, construction, technology, and unit production all have to be managed behind the scenes. The scale is one of the game's biggest attractions: watching hundreds of soldiers move across the battlefield can be impressive, right up until you realize that you are responsible for all of them. Different nations bring different military strengths, encouraging experimentation with tactics and army composition. The historical setting provides plenty of variety, while the sheer number of units gives battles an unusually grand feel. It is a strategy game for players who think a small skirmish is simply a large battle that has not yet hired enough soldiers.
