Tron

Tron brings the neon-lit world of the famous science-fiction movie to the computer, offering a collection of arcade-inspired challenges built around speed, survival, and brightly colored electronic danger. The most recognizable element is the light-cycle concept, where players race around an enclosed arena leaving deadly trails behind them. The trick is simple: make the opponent crash before you do. Naturally, it becomes considerably less simple once the arena fills with obstacles and both players start making desperate turns. The game also draws on other elements of the Tron universe, giving fans several different ways to enjoy its digital setting. The graphics are unmistakably from the early 1990s, but that chunky appearance actually suits the material surprisingly well. It is fast, competitive, and easy to understand, making it a pleasant throwback to a time when a glowing line and an angry computer opponent were enough entertainment for an evening.
