When Last Ninja reached DOS in 1988, it brought its stylish martial arts adventure to a wider audience with challenging action and memorable level design. Guiding a lone ninja through dangerous environments requires careful timing, observation, and more patience than most action games politely request. The mixture of exploration, combat, and environmental puzzles keeps the adventure engaging while its distinctive presentation helps it stand apart from countless other titles of the period. Few games managed to make every jump feel so dramatic. Apparently, being a legendary ninja still does not guarantee graceful landings every single time.
