Operation Wolf is a 1989 arcade-style military shooter that puts the player directly into the middle of a dangerous rescue mission. The objective is simple enough: shoot enemies, protect hostages, survive the incoming fire, and try not to run out of ammunition at the worst possible moment. The game is fast-paced and heavily focused on reflexes, with enemies appearing rapidly and demanding immediate reactions. It captures the intense, almost relentless style of arcade shooting games, where stopping to admire the scenery is generally discouraged by the scenery shooting back at you. Operation Wolf is a classic example of military action distilled into a straightforward challenge. There is no time for complicated diplomacy. The mission has begun, the enemies are everywhere, and the player is about to discover that one person with a gun can apparently solve an astonishing number of international crises.
