The sequel nobody asked for, but we’re still kinda glad happened. California Games 2 adds even weirder sports: jet-skiing, hang gliding, and bodyboarding, which is like surfing but with less dignity. The graphics are improved, the controls are still sketchy, and the game has the same sun-bleached charm. It's like an 80s postcard that came to life and forgot to bring sunscreen. Bonus points if you survive all the events without rage-throwing your keyboard.
