Released in 1991, Lemmings introduced one of the most unforgettable puzzle concepts ever created. Players must guide an army of tiny green-haired creatures toward safety by assigning them specialized abilities such as climbing, digging, or building bridges. The challenge lies in deciding which few lemmings should become heroes while preventing the rest from marching enthusiastically off cliffs. Its deceptively simple mechanics gradually evolve into fiendishly clever puzzles that demand planning, timing, and plenty of patience. Few games have made mass panic look this adorable, and somehow watching dozens of determined little creatures ignore obvious danger never stops being entertaining.
