The Terminator: Rampage puts you behind the controls of a combat vehicle in a future where humanity's relationship with Skynet has gone about as badly as expected. The game combines first-person shooting with vehicular combat, sending you through dangerous environments filled with hostile machines. There is plenty of ammunition, plenty of explosions and, naturally, very little opportunity to complain to customer service. Missions generally revolve around destroying enemy forces and surviving increasingly unpleasant encounters, while the Terminator setting provides a familiar backdrop of ruined cities and relentless mechanical enemies. The technology is obviously older than the machines it portrays, but the atmosphere remains enjoyable for fans of the franchise. The Terminator: Rampage is not the most sophisticated Terminator game, yet it has a straightforward charm: drive around, shoot things, complete the objective and try not to become another entry in the resistance's casualty statistics.
