Before Madden became a household name, 1988 gave us this DOS football classic, where plays are drawn like cave paintings and players move like molasses in January. Yet, for its time, this was the real deal. You could call plays, manage your team, and fumble in low-res glory. The sound effects are a symphony of beeps and buzzes, but there's genuine fun in the chaos. It’s football stripped to its bare essentials - strategy, timing, and trying not to laugh when your pixelated quarterback runs into his own lineman.
Loved this game. My cousin and I bought the construction disk and set up a League with close friends. We’d get together every Sunday for League play while watching NFL Games. Had it for the Commodore 64. Amazing how many options were available with only 64k RAM available.
