BattleTech: The Crescent Hawks' Revenge

BattleTech: The Crescent Hawks' Revenge is a turn-based strategy game developed by Westwood Associates and published by Infocom in 1990. It is the sequel to "Crescent Hawk's Inception" and is set in the BattleTech universe, a fictional universe where noble houses and mercenary groups vie for power using giant robotic vehicles known as BattleMechs.
In The Crescent Hawks' Revenge, players control a group of MechWarriors as they seek revenge against the forces of the Draconis Combine, who destroyed their home base in the previous game. The game features tactical battles where players command their MechWarriors and BattleMechs in combat against enemy forces.

BattleTech: The Crescent Hawks' Revenge reviews

PC Review (1992): "Based on a highly popular futuristic combat board game, Infocom's Battletech showed in no uncertain terms that there was potentially more to that late, great company than text adventures. Here huge mechanised monsters - Mechs - stride the land battling out with huge and powerful weapons. But this isn't just a shoot'em up. There is a large degree of strategy involved."

Dragon (1991): "This game is good but is not the same as the first BattleTech game. Players wanting a role-playing game might be disappointed, but war gamers will thoroughly enjoy the variety of 'Mechs and vehicles available as well as the needed strategies for combat success. Infocom has produced a highly enjoyable strategic war game that happens to possess a great story line as well."
