City of Lost Children

City of Lost Children is as beautiful as it is bewildering. Based on the surreal 1995 film, this adventure game drops you into a dark, oily dystopia filled with creepy orphans, bizarre contraptions, and more existential dread than you bargained for. You play as Miette, a tough little girl trying to find her kidnapped brother—but don’t expect straightforward gameplay. The puzzles are obscure, the interface clunky, and the atmosphere? Thick enough to cut with a rusty knife. It’s haunting, gorgeous, and borderline inscrutable. Like a dream you barely remember… but can’t quite forget.
