Comanche 2 continues NovaLogic's helicopter combat series with more missions, more enemies and considerably more opportunities to discover that flying a high-tech attack helicopter is harder than it looks. Released in 1995 for DOS, it puts you behind the controls of the RAH-66 Comanche and sends you into a series of dangerous military operations. The game's famous voxel-based terrain gives the battlefields a distinctive appearance, allowing hills and valleys to stretch across the screen in a way that felt remarkably futuristic at the time. It is not exactly a relaxing sightseeing tour, though: missiles, tanks and hostile aircraft are generally less interested in admiring the landscape than you are.
