Crime Time blends point-and-click adventure with a murder mystery that’s as much about wit as it is about clues. You play an innocent man framed for murder, scrambling to gather evidence and clear your name before time runs out. The interface is classic early-90s adventure fare, with pixel art scenes and an inventory system that practically begs you to try using every object on every other object. It’s humorous in places, tense in others, and manages to keep you guessing until the very end.
ST Format (1992): "This is an adventure with a difference! The plot is more down to earth and realistic than prancing about pretending you're a pixie or whatever. Since the game is entirely mouse-driven means that you don't encounter problems with mistyping or not getting the context right. Tum the music down - it'd be fine in a shoot-'em-up but Crime Time simply isn't the place. The graphics are, erm, different. Everything is depicted from lots of weird and wonderful angles giving the game a lot of atmosphere. Maybe adventures aren't just for anoraks, after all..."
