Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion

Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion turns up the difficulty (and the body count) by tossing Dave into a gothic nightmare of zombies, ghosts, and bloodthirsty critters. Armed with a shotgun, you’ll creep through dimly lit corridors and leap over deadly traps, trying not to think too hard about the eerie organ music in the background. It’s a perfect blend of platforming precision and horror camp—a pixelated B-movie where every jump could be your last.

Retro gamer collector's corner:

In 1993 the game was re-released by the short lived publisher Froggman under the name Rooms of Doom. The game is identical, however the story now involves a character named Jake (Dave) entering a haunted mansion to save his friend Mikey (Delbert). This version was released on both 3½ inch and 5¼ inch floppy disks for MS-DOS computers.
