When H.R. Giger is involved, you know things will get weird. Dark Seed (1992) is a point-and-click horror adventure where you play Mike Dawson, a man haunted by nightmarish visions after an alien embryo is implanted in his skull. Charming, right? The game’s atmosphere is its strength—creepy environments inspired directly by Giger’s art ooze unsettling detail. The puzzles, however, are brutal and timed, leaving players stressed and often resorting to walkthroughs. It’s the kind of game where you feel more relief than triumph when you solve something, but hey—that’s horror for you.
Played this on my tandy. It was my first game that i ever played.
