Abandonware DOS title

Dawn Patrol

Take to the skies in Dawn Patrol (1994), a flight sim that remembers when aerial combat meant fabric wings and machine guns bolted onto wooden planes. Set in World War I, it’s less about speed and more about finesse—dogfighting at fifty miles per hour is trickier than you’d think. The graphics are surprisingly decent for DOS, and the game even throws in historical missions to make you feel like you’re rewriting aviation history. Of course, the controls take some getting used to, and crashing into the ground is an all-too-common fate. But when you do nail that perfect barrel roll, it feels glorious.
