Abandonware DOS title

Dick Tracy

Dick Tracy (1990) tries to turn the classic comic-strip detective into a video game, and the result is equal parts charming and clunky. You’ll chase gangsters, dodge bullets, and use your trusty revolver to bring law and order to the mean streets. Unfortunately, Tracy moves like he’s wearing cement shoes, and the controls are about as responsive as a brick. Still, the colorful art and noir-ish style capture the comic’s spirit, and fans of the fedora-wearing sleuth could forgive the stiffness. It’s not exactly “hard-boiled” gameplay, but it does let you punch crime in the face, which is worth something.
