If Grand Theft Auto had a German uncle who worked in finance, it might look a lot like Dime City. Released in 1995 for DOS, this oddball title blends business simulation with underworld dealings. You manage a criminal empire, juggle shady investments, and try not to get whacked by rivals. It’s ambitious, quirky, and often hilariously overcomplicated. Half the fun is realizing you’re spending more time reading spreadsheets than actually committing crimes. The isometric view and stylized graphics give it personality, but it’s the absurd humor and tongue-in-cheek take on gangster life that make it memorable. Crime does pay—but mostly in paperwork.
