Dungeon Keeper 3: War for the Overworld is the ghost of a game that never was. Announced, teased, and then buried alive by shifting studio priorities, it exists only in the fever dreams of fans. Concept art promised new realms, bigger battles, and an invasion of the overworld itself—evil finally taking the fight upstairs. Alas, it was canceled before release, leaving only spiritual successors and broken hearts. Still, its legacy lived on in fan projects, most notably the modern War for the Overworld homage. It’s proof that you can’t keep a good dungeon down… or an evil one, either.
