Before apps, spreadsheets, and AI Dungeon Masters, there was Dungeon Master’s Assistant Vol. 1. Released in 1988, this tool was a digital sidekick for pen-and-paper D&D players, designed to make the Dungeon Master’s life slightly less miserable. It managed encounters, treasure tables, and monster stats—all through DOS menus that made you feel like you were hacking a fantasy mainframe. It wasn’t a game, but it was a revolution for tabletop nerds everywhere. If you loved dice and ASCII in equal measure, this was your best friend.

Just heard about these programs, thought I'd look into them.

Used defend reloaded as my Dos emulator. Sadly, there does not seem to be a way to print. Which is a key part of the program. Additionally, you cannot successfully save new encounters or create new encounters. Both of which require the save function to work.
