Dungeons of Kroz 2 didn’t reinvent the wheel—it sharpened it and rolled it over your face. Released the same year as the original, it’s tougher, faster, and even more unpredictable. New traps, nastier monsters, and tighter level design make survival feel like a triumph of willpower. The ASCII visuals return, but by now you’ve learned to see through the symbols: “#” means safety, “@” means you, and everything else means pain. Like its predecessor, it’s brilliant in its simplicity and cruel in its design. If Dungeons of Kroz was a trial, Kroz 2 is the punishment for passing it.
