A loving parody of science fiction tropes, EGA Trek takes obvious inspiration from Star Trek and runs with it, humor first. You command a starship, making decisions that range from sensible to absurd, often with comedic consequences. The graphics are simple, but the writing does the heavy lifting, poking fun at space opera clichés while still offering a playable experience. It’s more about reading and choosing than action, and that suits its tone. Fans of text-heavy adventures will appreciate its wit and willingness to be silly. EGA Trek feels like a fan project made with affection rather than polish, and that sincerity makes it memorable.
Played this game when it came out. Quite enjoyed it. You need to destroy enemy warbirds from sectors in known space. Follows Star Trek lore quite faithfully.
