Enclave is a dark fantasy action game that feels slightly out of time, in both good and bad ways. Its world is grim, its tone serious, and its combat intentionally weighty. You’ll swing swords that feel heavy, fire arrows with purpose, and occasionally wrestle with controls that seem determined to test your patience. Yet there’s something compelling about its atmosphere. The environments are moody, the music suitably ominous, and the sense of isolation works in its favor. The humor is mostly accidental, usually appearing when physics or animations do something unexpected. Still, Enclave has heart, and for players willing to meet it halfway, it offers a memorable, if occasionally stubborn, journey.
