Released back when computers still hummed ominously and monitors glowed like radioactive jellyfish, Epidemic! throws you into the grim business of stopping a deadly outbreak. The interface may scream “1983,” but the tension is surprisingly modern: make smart decisions or watch the population graph plummet like a stone. It’s half strategy, half moral dilemma, and just a dash of “why did I think this was a relaxing way to spend an evening?” Not cheerful, but undeniably compelling.
