Abandonware DOS title

Galaxy

Galaxy is a relic from the early days of PC gaming, when the idea of exploring space could be conveyed with a handful of pixels and a lot of imagination. The gameplay is simple, revolving around navigating through cosmic dangers while trying not to become a permanent piece of floating debris. There’s something charming about its minimalism: the stars flicker, enemies appear, and suddenly you’re locked in a quiet duel among the void. Early games like this often relied on the player’s willingness to fill in the details, and Galaxy is no exception. What it lacks in graphical spectacle it compensates for with straightforward arcade tension. Every move feels deliberate, every mistake immediately noticeable. It’s a reminder of a time when developers built entire universes with limited tools—and players happily accepted the challenge.

A simple and easy game to learn, yet still has enough depth for a fair degree of strategy. Not the best game of it's type, but it's a great way to kill 5-10 minutes, or even up to an hour or so, either by yourself or with some friends.
