Ganja Farmer

Ganja Farmer is a small, deliberately unusual farming simulation built around a subject that conventional agricultural software tends to avoid mentioning. The basic idea is familiar: cultivate plants, manage resources, and try to make your operation profitable. The twist, naturally, is the crop involved. Its presentation has a decidedly homemade, tongue-in-cheek character, giving the whole thing the feel of an oddball experiment rather than a polished commercial simulator. Much of the appeal comes from its novelty and the sheer absurdity of treating an unconventional crop with the seriousness normally reserved for wheat or potatoes. The gameplay is straightforward enough to understand without a manual marathon, while the humor keeps things from becoming too dry. Ganja Farmer is certainly not the deepest farming simulation around, but it is memorable precisely because it does not take the usual route. It is farming software after a rather suspicious trip to the greenhouse.
