Iron Lord

Iron Lord (1990, DOS) is the medieval fantasy game that tried to be everything at once—and somehow pulled it off. It’s part RPG, part action, part strategy, and part “please don’t make me play that archery mini-game again.” You start as a wandering knight trying to reclaim your throne, and along the way you duel enemies, talk to peasants, manage resources, and even compete in tournaments. It’s ambitious, quirky, and occasionally frustrating, but there’s no denying it has heart. The graphics look like they were drawn by a very dedicated squire, and the music… well, it exists. But if you want a game that screams “early ’90s ambition,” Iron Lord is your ticket.
