Abandonware DOS title

Jetstrike

Released in 1994, _Jetstrike_ mixes action, strategy, and flight combat into a surprisingly ambitious package. Players take command of military aircraft and tackle missions that involve destroying enemy targets while managing resources and planning attacks. Unlike purely arcade-oriented flight games, Jetstrike encourages a more thoughtful approach without becoming overwhelming. The graphics are detailed for the period, and the gameplay offers a satisfying sense of progression. Whether launching missiles at enemy installations or carefully selecting equipment before a mission, there is always something to do. It is a game that rewards planning, although reckless explosions remain highly entertaining.

Jetstrike was great fun, didn't always run too well , depends on video card and in Dos the save game functionality didn't work worth a damn, so had to play all missions in 1 go.

It did help to hexedit the game files to "improve" availability of weapons and their range & effect :)
I might just fire it up again this weekend, for old times sake
