Keys to Maramon

Keys to Maramon is a role-playing game developed by Mindcraft Software and released in 1990 for the Amiga, MS-DOS, and Commodore 64 platforms. The game is set in the same universe as the "Magic Candle" series, another popular RPG series by Mindcraft. The game is set in the fantasy town of Maramon, where the player must protect the town from waves of invading monsters. These monsters emerge from the mysterious dungeons located beneath the city.
The gameplay is action-oriented, with real-time combat being a significant focus. Players control a character who can attack, use magic, and perform other actions in real-time as they fend off waves of enemies.

Keys to Maramon review

Dragon (1990): "The Keys to Maramon is fun to play for a while, but the game does not present an original adventure and becomes an exercise in how quickly you can coordinate your character on-screen so you can use the space bar to slay a nasty. In our opinion, Keys doesn't hold a candle to Mindcraft's original adventure and should not be considered as a sequel to it."
