Legends of Murder: Volume 1 - Stonedale Castle

If you wanted a mix of Clue, D&D, and a dash of text-parser frustration, Legends of Murder: Volume 1 – Stonedale Castle (1989) was your game. You play a detective dropped into a medieval setting, trying to solve a murder while dodging traps and interrogating a cast of suspicious nobles. It’s less about slashing monsters and more about figuring out who’s lying through their teeth. The puzzles can be obtuse, but the novelty of combining RPG elements with detective work gives it a unique flavor. It’s as though Agatha Christie took a vacation in a fantasy castle and decided to spice things up with a few orcs.
