Litil Divil

Released in 1993, Litil Divil follows the misadventures of Mutt, a rather clumsy little devil determined to prove himself in the underworld. The game combines platforming, puzzles, and exploration inside a colorful cartoon version of Hell that is far more amusing than terrifying. Clever level design encourages experimentation while humorous animations soften even the most frustrating failures. Success often depends on remembering where useful objects were left several rooms earlier, making careful exploration essential. Being a devil apparently involves an impressive amount of running errands, although at least the scenery is considerably more entertaining than an ordinary office.
