Might and Magic 7: For Blood and Honor marks the series’ leap into full 3D exploration, and the result feels like stepping from a dusty library of spellbooks into a bustling fantasy countryside. You travel across towns, forests, and dungeons while building a party that slowly grows from fragile novices into walking magical artillery. One of the game’s most interesting twists is its moral choice between light and dark paths, which quietly changes the tone of the entire campaign. Combat can be chaotic, exploration is wonderfully open, and there’s always another ruin on the horizon begging to be investigated. It’s not the easiest RPG ever made, but that’s part of the charm: the world feels alive, dangerous, and full of opportunities to either become a hero—or a very well-armed troublemaker.
PC Game Reviews (2001): "MM7 is the realization of the promise that was shown in MM6. A fully realized skills system is in place, additional classes and races make for more variety. In addition, you can play as a good or evil party, with different quests based on your choice. The most replayable of the MM series, this one is a keeper if you like old-school RPGs."
