Omnicron Conspiracy (1989, DOS) is a detective adventure wrapped in a cozy sci-fi blanket. You play as a Galactic Patrol agent solving crimes across alien worlds, all rendered in charming pixel art that screams late-’80s optimism. The gameplay mixes exploration with light puzzle-solving, letting you interrogate oddballs, follow leads, and occasionally wish your character walked just a little faster. What it lacks in flash, it makes up for in personality. There’s something irresistible about unraveling conspiracies one dialogue box at a time, especially when the universe is full of quirky extraterrestrial suspects who seem genetically incapable of telling the truth.
