In Power Drive, rally racing comes with an extra dose of “don’t hit the tree.” It’s all about navigating winding tracks with a sense of timing that borders on clairvoyance. The game rewards cautious drivers about as much as it does maniacs who don’t mind trading bumpers with every obstacle on the road. While not the flashiest racer of its time, it has an addictive loop—learn the course, shave off seconds, and then crash spectacularly in the final lap. DOS racers weren’t always elegant, but Power Drive had just enough grit to leave its tire marks in gaming memory.
Also found its way to the Atari Jaguar, as Power Drive Rally, albeit with different track layouts. Actually one of the better games on the system - 64-bit or otherwise...
