Known as Exhumed in some regions, Powerslave is a first-person shooter with a heavy dose of Egyptian flavor. Think mummies, scarabs, and plenty of mystical traps, all wrapped up in that mid-90s charm where level design felt like a fever dream. The engine gives it a pseudo-3D feel, and while it doesn’t quite hit the heights of Doom, it brings its own unique flair. The game shines when it leans into its atmosphere—you’ll be blasting enemies one minute and marveling at the ancient setting the next. It’s one of those underrated shooters that deserves more attention than it ever got.
