Satan

Satan is a 1989 DOS action game with a dark fantasy setting, placing players in a world filled with monsters, dangerous environments, and supernatural threats. The player takes control of a powerful warrior and must fight through hostile areas while dealing with increasingly difficult enemies. The game combines platform-style movement with combat and exploration, giving the adventure a distinctly arcade-oriented feel. Its gothic atmosphere and demonic imagery give it a more sinister personality than many contemporary action games, while the straightforward mechanics keep the experience accessible. Satan is very much a product of its era, when fantasy games were happy to fill the screen with monsters and let the player sort out the theological details later. It is energetic, occasionally unforgiving, and unapologetically dark. If the underworld needed a recruitment campaign, this would probably make a surprisingly effective promotional video.
