Secret Agent

Secret Agent is a 1992 DOS action-platform game from Apogee in which players take control of an international spy battling through dangerous levels packed with enemies, traps, and secret passages. The hero is armed with an assortment of weapons and must use quick reflexes to survive while collecting items and reaching the end of each stage. The game has the colorful, energetic personality typical of early shareware platformers, with plenty of hidden areas encouraging players to explore rather than simply run toward the exit. Secret Agent does not take espionage particularly seriously. Instead of quietly infiltrating enemy headquarters, the protagonist tends to solve international crises by shooting everything that moves. It is an entertaining combination of platforming and cartoonish spy fantasy, proving once again that subtlety is optional when you have enough ammunition and a reasonably good jump.
