Stack Up

Stack Up is a small DOS puzzle game built around a concept so simple that explaining it almost sounds like describing a child's toy. Released in 1991, the game challenges you to arrange and stack objects while dealing with increasingly awkward situations that test your planning and spatial reasoning. There are no armies to command, no dragons to defeat and absolutely no ancient prophecy demanding your attention. Instead, you get puzzles, timing and the quiet satisfaction of finally putting things where they are supposed to go. Its modest presentation reflects the era, but that simplicity can be refreshing today. Sometimes you really do just want a game that gives your brain something to chew on.
