Star Wars Rebellion is a grand strategy game that turns the original trilogy into a massive galactic campaign. Released in 1998, it lets players command either the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire, managing planets, fleets, characters, diplomacy, espionage, construction, and military operations across a huge star map. The scale is the real attraction: this is not about controlling Luke for five minutes, but about deciding where an entire faction should build ships and how it should use its limited resources. Famous characters can be assigned to missions, fleets can be assembled, and planets can be conquered or defended. Rebellion can be slow and demanding, but that is part of its appeal. It feels like running the Star Wars universe from an extremely complicated command center. Naturally, the Empire has a giant space station capable of destroying planets, while you still have to worry about budgets. Galactic domination apparently requires paperwork.
