Starflight 2: Trade Routes of the Cloud Nebula expands the original space exploration formula with a larger galaxy, new worlds, alien civilizations, trading opportunities, and another enormous mystery to uncover. Players command a starship and are free to explore, trade, negotiate, fight, and investigate the strange events scattered throughout the Cloud Nebula. The sequel builds on the original's combination of role-playing and open-ended exploration while giving the player even more reasons to leave the safety of familiar space. Different alien races have their own personalities and agendas, making diplomacy an important part of the adventure. Starflight 2 is at its best when you stop following the obvious objective and simply start exploring. One small clue can send you halfway across the galaxy in search of something that may or may not exist. It is space exploration in its purest old-school form: freedom, mystery, danger, and a navigation system that expects you to know what you are doing.
