Stellar Crusade is a space strategy game for people who think one galaxy is simply not enough territory to argue over. You command fleets, manage resources and attempt to expand your influence while dealing with rival powers that are presumably just as convinced they deserve all the good planets. The emphasis is on planning rather than twitch reactions, with military decisions mixed with economic and strategic considerations. It has the traditional computer-strategy aesthetic of the era: lots of information, maps and numbers, and very little concern about whether the interface looks fashionable. That can make the learning curve somewhat steep, but once the systems click, the game becomes an engaging exercise in galactic logistics. Stellar Crusade is particularly suited to players who enjoy imagining themselves as admirals while sitting safely at a desk, preferably with snacks within strategic reach.
