Super 3-D Noah's Ark

Super 3-D Noah's Ark is an unusual first-person shooter that takes the familiar Wolfenstein-style formula and gives it an extremely unexpected biblical makeover. Instead of battling soldiers and monsters, Noah wanders through the Ark dealing with unruly animals using a weapon that is considerably less dramatic than a machine gun. The result is strange, colorful, and undeniably memorable. Beneath the novelty is a conventional maze-based shooter, with corridors to explore, creatures to deal with, items to collect, and plenty of opportunities to become hopelessly lost inside a wooden boat that apparently has enough rooms to qualify as a small hotel. The game has a quirky sense of humor and an unmistakably old-school approach to action. It is not the most sophisticated shooter of its generation, but it hardly needs to be. Super 3-D Noah's Ark wins points simply for being one of the strangest combinations of religious history and first-person shooting ever committed to a floppy disk.
