Super Hang-On is arcade motorcycle racing distilled into its most energetic form: choose a powerful bike, twist the throttle, and try to remain attached to the road while everything around you becomes a blur. The game emphasizes speed and reflexes rather than detailed simulation, making every corner a small test of courage and timing. Courses stretch through exotic environments, giving the impression that you are on a world tour where the organizers have a slightly unhealthy enthusiasm for very fast motorcycles. The controls are easy to understand but demand practice at higher speeds, particularly when traffic and tight bends begin conspiring against you. The DOS and Macintosh versions capture the spirit of the arcade original while bringing its racing action home. Super Hang-On is at its best when you stop worrying about perfect technique and simply chase the horizon.
