Super Huey II is a helicopter combat and flight simulation that gives you a cockpit, a collection of missions, and plenty of opportunities to discover that flying a helicopter is considerably harder than it looks from the ground. You must control altitude, direction, weapons, and navigation while dealing with enemies and mission objectives. The game sits somewhere between a serious simulator and an action title, providing enough technical detail to make you feel like a pilot without completely burying the experience under paperwork. The graphics are obviously from another era, but the cockpit atmosphere remains appealing, particularly when you are hovering over a target and trying to line up an attack. Super Huey II rewards practice, patience, and a willingness to learn from spectacular mistakes. It may not have the visual polish of modern flight games, but it captures something many newer titles struggle to recreate: the slightly terrifying satisfaction of finally getting a helicopter to do what you actually intended.
