A moody sci-fi adventure drenched in neon gloom, The Orion Conspiracy (1995, DOS) tosses you into a futuristic murder mystery where everyone seems to be hiding something—often badly. The game blends point-and-click sleuthing with a generous dose of space-station politics, forcing you to interrogate suspicious colleagues who all appear to have taken the same “Look shifty and deny everything” acting class. Its gorgeous pixel art sets the tone: oppressive corridors, humming machinery, and just enough noir energy to make you crave a trench coat. While the pacing can be deliberate, the atmosphere pulls you in until you’re second-guessing every character, including yourself.
