Times of Lore review
Computer Gaming World - Issue 55 (1989): "Times of Lore is basically a beginner's computer role-playing game. The game is very easy to learn and play: character creation is simple, monsters are few, conversations are menu-driven, and actions are controlled from an icon-based menu on the screen. Unlike other CRPG's, experience gained does not advance the character in levels (there aren't any). It is strictly used as an indication of how well you're doing.Overall, Times of Lore is a neat and simple game. It plays fast, avoids the complexities of more sophisticated CRPG's, tells a story, has nice graphics, and a decent (if a little abrupt) ending."
